Iodine plays a key role in thyroid health! It can help with protection from, and with exposure to radiation!
Iodine is an essential mineral which means that we need to get it through foods!
Our bodies don't create iodine!
We can't seem to get enough minerals through foods, as commercial farming has wiped out the mineral stores in the earth!
Seaweed, cod fish, some dairy products, shrimp, eggs, tuna and prunes are some sources of idoine!I certainly don't eat enough of these foods to get a wealthy enough supply to fuel my body!

By the way! Iodized salt is not a good source of iodine!
I find it imperative that I supplement with magnesium and postassium on a daily basis!
That is what my body requires for general, overal health!
On a semi-regular basis I do also supplement with iodine!
I keep a supply of Kelp in my referigerator, which I take several times throughout the week with lunch!

Frequenlty I have used the liquid Lugol's iodine. It is easy to put two drops of it under my tongue now and then.
Lugol's Iodine is a very good source of iodine, that works much better than others! This iodine is a blend of iodine with potassium!
It was discovered to be very important in the 1800's by a French doctor named Jean Lugol! The supplement is known as Lugol's Iodine!
It's the best! And I highly recommend it!
