For Blood Sugar, Cholesterol and Blood Pressure!

Watercress In Food, Or As An Extract!

Hmmm! Watercress, who knew?

Diabetes, blood cholesterol levels and high blood pressure!

What a substance, what a deal!

Help For Blood Sugar Levels

A friend of mine heard that the vegetable Watercress could help with blood sugar levels. She had been sharing with me how very expensive her diabetes medicine is.

She is approximately 74 years old, and she told me about the cost of her medicine and explained to me the gap process!

The gap is something that you reach in your insurance, when paying for your pharmaceuticals, when the insurance company pays out a certain amount for your medicines; a person will reach a gap and at that time, the person gets a discount, but the price of the drug, goes up!

So, she is looking for some, natural way to lower her blood sugar levels! ~`Natural Solutions Section

Watercress Is Not In Season!

She had been searching in stores for watercress: and right now, it is December and January; so it is more expensive and it is already a higher priced food!

What I'm looking for is an extract for her to use.

Are there extracts or capsules that can be used?

Works For Glucose And Cholesterol Levels

In my search I find that watercress extract contains a hypolipidemic and hypoglycemic: which helps with both blood glucose and cholesterol!

And, it containes natural occurring nitrates, which can help with lowering blood pressure!
In studies, this vegetable has shown to be helpful in Type II diabetes! Good deal!

And ah ha!

Watercress has my favorites; potassium, magnesium and calcium! (The only calcium I touch is naturally occurring plant-based calcium!) ~`Magnesium Section

Help For Blood Pressure

It is said that these minerals, along with the nitrates, help to increase artery dilation, and release sodium out of the body. This two way action is the way that blood pressure is helped.

Watercres has a hefty amount of Vitamin A; it has a great source of Vitamins C and K! ~`Vitamin Section

Something else that watercress has are two carotenoids; lutein and zeaxanthin, which protect the heart and arteries from cell damage! They also keep the arteries unclogged!

Wow!

It makes good sense that watercress is a cousin to the very healthy kale, broccli, brussels sprouts and arugula!

Ways to use watercress!

  • 1) in a smoothie or fruit juice
  • 2) can make pesto
  • 3) add it into pasta sauce
  • 4) great used in a salad

By the way - I've found a Watercress powder!

On another note!
A friend of mine explained to me the importance
of soaking and chewing apricot kernels.
I've put together a video
that explains how to do this and, why you might wish to do this if you are using apricot kernels for your health!
