Phytonutrients a.k.a., phytochemicals are superfoods, for the plants they come from.
Phytonutrients also have important benefits for the humans who eat them!
Although these foods, see the list below, affect human health in a significant way, they are not considered nutrients that are essential for life; such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats and minerals!

This particular source of phytonutrient is one that I like to take in supplement form!
The benefit I receive from taking a cranberry supplement is that it can definitely prevent the occurrence of a urinary tract infection (U.T.I.)!
