My Wedding day was such a blast!

The Dress And Veil!
I was fortunate to find my dress, the dress that I wanted among the dresses in an outlet store!In trying to save money by making things I actually spent a whole lot of cash!
But when it came to my dress, I found a real bargain and it was everything that I wanted for my dress!
Amazing!
The Shoes!
However, my shoes were a whole 'nother story!
I wasn't as lucky in that department!I have always had difficult to fit feet! I have a super high arch!

Spending a lot of money on a shoe dosen't guarantee that a shoe will fit better or feel better!
What I did that made a lot of sense to me was that I bought two pairs of shoes! One to wear for the ceremony, and one pair for later at the reception!
At least that was supposed to work! But, at the very beginning of the reception my feet were killing me!
Neither of my shoes felt good!
How it turned out?
I was talking to one of my long time friends and I told her that my feet hurt and, she gave me her shoes to wear!Amazing!
It worked! They fit, and they felt good! They were a pair of sandals!I was able to dance all night! And I did, dance every dance - practically every dance! Somehow, I was able to bring to mind the fact that, we have to enjoy our weddings! I stayed present in the moment, and enjoyed every minute of my party!
The Planning!
It was definitely at mininum, a year that I planned for and worked on my wedding! Maybe more!I made my own invitations, picked out some very unique and special paper for it! I taught myself calligrapy to address the envelopes!
I bought three sizes of rubber stamps in the shape of a rose, 3 sizes of them to use - and this was 1993, before stamps became popular!
Everything came out wonderful and, my guests enjoyed the reception!
The Glitch!
There is always, one thing that will go in another direction than planned! What it was for me?I had several of the women at my house, the wedding party girls and had hired someone to do our makeup! Everything was going well when:
I found that my garter was missing! And actually, also my bustier!

I had bought a strapless, and backless bustier bra!
Another good friend of mine came by the house, and asked if she could do anything for us!
I told her about the garter and, she ran to the mall to get one for me! The bustier turned up in a random place in the house!
Wonderful day, and some very fantastic friends!

We are approaching our 26th wedding anniversary! It's been wonderful - and full of many issues that can occur in relationships!
My Advice!?
Try and remember that you are each a work in progress and neither of you are perfect!Try and make a practice of forgive and forget!
