Hi there!

Every morning - almost without fail, I eat my three soft boiled eggs

(or medium - however they come out); with seasonings on them and - of course -

Olive Oil on them - because it keeps my HDL at 83! Which is a powerfully good HDL.

Recently I've incorporated something else into my breakfast regimine - and I'm attempting to be very, very loyal to this! It is a small piece of an orange rind!

Specifically, what is called the pith - the white part of the rind.

This is 'part two' of my artery health and my stroke prevention tactic!

('Part One of my artery health is that I am using Olive Oil!)

I'm not a big fan of having a stroke, I don't think most people are. At this very moment I have two friends in different stages of stroke rehabilitation, and I am keeping them in my prayers.

Please see the artery health section in my magazine for more of my thoughts and actions about keeping my arteries strong and healthy!

What does the pith of an orange have to do with artery health?

The pith of an orange peel has a nutrient in it which strengthens artery tissue. It helps the artery wall retain it's tensile strength - which allows the artery to stay strong and to bear up under the pressure of the blood that passes through it. Which in turn, prevents what is known as a stroke.

That is important to me because of two factors. 1) The tissue in my body will begin to get brittle and/or more thin as I age: artery walls are comprised of tissue that is subject to weakening as I age, and 2) my blood cholesterol has been affected in the aging process for me and I may tend to have thicker blood and or to have some clotting issues.

At 28 years old, with blood work I was told that I had borderline high cholesterol. Things weren't working as they used to!

So this is something that I want to pay attention to. It is a situation that I will have to keep on top of throughout my life.

In this part of my life I have come to find that prevention is the biggest tool in my toolbox of health maintenance. It is my feelings that preventing diseases and disorders is a lot easier than picking up after an illness happens. Strokes are big on my list of things to prevent.

Shortly - at my YouTube Channel - I have a video coming up on a 'third part' of my stroke prevention tactic. I'll put a link here as soon as it is available!.
(The video is out! ... here is the link!
