... the shampoo that I used in about 1975 was ~ Premium Argan Oil Shampoo with Karatin! called Earth Born Shampoo!

However that wasn't the first natural-type of product that I had acquired and used.

This is a funny story. But it's a true story.

It might have been around 1970, I was about 13 years old and somehow I got the idea to use herbs and/or spices in my bath water.

It must have been a 'thing' at the time; and had to have come from t.v.

or I couldn't have known about it.

First I ran a hot bathtub full of water and in it

I put all of the *spices that I believed to be healthy

for a person's skin or body or something;

I know that red pepper was one of them.

And oil! Oil is what really contributed to this issue!

The only oil in our home was Angela Mia Olive Oil

that came in a large gallon-sized aluminum container;

it was 'dirt cheap' back then!

So I add oil and spices into my bath water;

I take the bath... la de da ...

Later that afternoon I go into the bathroom and

Oh my gosh!

red ants

, large red ants of some type c

oming up through the drain in the bathtub!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I screamed, I know that I did.

What I remember next is some of the family members laughing at me, and going on about my 'oil and spices' bath~

They may have made fun of me then - but, what has happened with that idea?

People pay large amounts of money to go to spas and places

where they can indulge themselves in oil and other types of baths!

Don't they?

~~~Nancy Koncilja Gurish thought of it - in small town Cleveland, Ohio -
way back in the day!
From where? I don't know...
Today - I am certain that natural is the way to go
and I seek out all different ways to get healthy and stay healthy naturally.
It never made sense to me about where those big red ants came from~
and how they came up through a closed drain.
I never understood that one.
I haven't tried that one since! And won't! Not in my house!
~~~Nancy

*Cinamon and ginger and nutmeg... the nice smelling spices!

I remembered! The bath was supposed to relax the mind and sooth the spirit!

Today - those spices would make me want to eat pie!
