Apple cider vinegar is an old folk remedy
claimed to be beneficial in treating a long
list of ailments. Proponents say that it
can cure arthritis, guard against osteoporosis,
lower blood pressure and cholesterol, prevent
cancer, destroy infection, assist in digestion
and weight control, maintain memory, and
protect the mind from aging.
Vinegar is said to have been used for medical ailments for at least
10,000 years. The Babylonians first converted
wine into vinegar in 5000 BCE using date
palms, grapes, and figs, and believed vinegar
had exceptional healing properties. Hippocrates
is said to have used vinegar as an antibiotic.
Samurai warriors supposedly used a vinegar
tonic for strength and power. During the U.S. Civil War, soldiers used
vinegar to prevent gastric upset and as a
treatment for various ailments including
pneumonia and scurvy. It was used to treat
wounds during World War I.

The name vinegar comes from a French word meaning
"sour wine." It is produced by
the action of yeast and bacteria on grains
or fruit juices. Vinegars take their name
from the material used to make the vinegar,
i.e., apple cider vinegar comes from apples,

I have started using ACV and
Baking soda... "I have started using ACV and
Baking soda to cure my Reflux which is about
7 years old happened because of too many
ciggaretes, empty stomach while working crazy
hrs. I am 31 now. For first few years i was
on Aciphex 20 mg. Now that does not work
so got on nexium, Nexium 40 mg, prevacid
30 mg every thing works right now. But i
just do not feel right with energy level
and funny feeling in legs (kinda pain). I
am ready to get off alopathic medicines.
First day i took Just ACV without baking
soda it worked may be because of Aciphex
left in my body from last day but next day
reflux was back. Than i got baking soda and
started 8 OZ water, 2 tbs ACV and 1/4 BS,
1 hr before food. I started Acidophyllus
1 billion bateria count(From GNC store).
But 1 before meal does not work. And bad
reflux back again.
Now its 5 continous days using ACV i am going
to stop using it for 2 days and live simply
on Acidophyllis 2 tabs before each meal.
6 a day. At least i will find out if ACV
effecting me negatively.
I feel better in my legs and energy level
is good too. I am not yet ready to give up
on this formula yet. I am going to do 3 full
weeks and see what happens. May be it takes
3 weeks. I am also using Metazyme tabs from
made from plants i got from whole food market.
Its works too. I smoke too. I am cutting
down and i am at 2 a day. I might quit as
well by the end of 3 weeks. I will keep posting."

When eating too fast..."
When eating too fast, eating too much, eating the wrong foods or just plain eating has resulted in that familiar burning sensation, you know it’s time for help. You can run to the drug store for something chewable or to the medicine cabinet for something awful-tasting or to the list of grandma’s favorite home remedies. The number of possible cures is almost as large as the number of possible causes. Of course, you could just relax and take a little baking soda for heartburn.
Why It Works
With all of the causes of heartburn, the thing that causes the burning is always the same. Acid from the stomach has squirted up through the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and attacked the esophagus. There are a lot of reasons that can happen. You can take the time to find out why it happens to you and then try to avoid it. Or, if the occurrence is infrequent, you can just deal with the common problem: acid. A stick of chewing gum can increase the saliva to give your body that lovely boost. A glass of water keeps things flowing in the right direction – down and away from the esophagus and the coolness feels good.
Sometimes the whole thing started because of dry food anyway. When plain water isn’t enough, you need a little kick to counteract the acid instead of just washing it away. Baking soda for heartburn is a natural antacid that is gentle to your damaged parts and has no side effects. You do put it in cookies, after all - so, when you drink a glass of water, add a spoonful of baking soda for heartburn for quicker, safe relief.
