"... my favorite expressions, "You're always playing on, that thing"!
During these first years in building my internet business the above statements, have been my experience. I'm always 'broke'. I'm borrowing money, having to explain purchases; explain how I spend my money. This is the beginning of my 4th year in working in business for myself and, as I have heard about this business, it is, "not for the faint of heart."
My family is a loving, supportive and generous family. The people, in my own home are the 'salt of the earth.' However... this internet thing, as I have seen written has, "changed the world overnight". This internet thing can break the strongest bonds. It can strain the strongest of structures. My family structure is strong - but, while the money slowly trickles in; can the strong bonds of my family, hold up under the weight of the income gap? It takes time, for income to generate to any understandable degree. Can I hold up, under this weight? That is not a question that I take the time, to ask myself: I'm busy working and, I'm not quitting 'this internet thing'. This is my business, and this is my work. I love my work.
The business at hand, in the life of a person who "works on, 'that thing'" doesn't mean, for me, that I am always working on my web business. While building my 'internet empire' - I'm finding that everyone sees me as the 'go-to' person: the person who has the time, to do... this, to do.... that, (fill in the blank). My time has been spread in many directions in the past three years. My talents have been used in many places besides my own 'business'. But, when the money needs to be there, to be spent and, the money is not there, then the questions begin to come in. "Why don't you get a 'real job'"? "You always have that thing in front of you". "You don't do anything, you're always on that thing. By the way, that thing, is my laptop. And - one of my
favorite expressions is, "You're always playing on, that thing!
