Very recently I heard the term Purine Foods
the first time in my life!
This came to my attention when we
in my house
thought that my husband had a gout situation
on with one of his big toes!
It wasn't gout at all, and
to be honest with you, I don't recall actually what
was wrong with it however, it brought the term
in to my world. So ...
just what is a purine food,
and what do they do?

Good Gout Foods to Eat and Not to Eat!
Top foods to avoid:
- Organ meats, such as liver, kidneys, sweetbreads
- Meats, including bacon, beef, pork and lamb
- Game meats
- Anchovies, sarddines, herring, mackerel and scallops!
- Gravy - and Beer!
